Holiday update!
I couldn't think of a witty title...so yea.
Anyways as we all know Christmas is THIS WEEK. Crazy right? Well in the spirits of the holidays I decided to launch the Velvet Code project....Yes Marlon knows about it BUT he doesn't know what will be in it! Well...Neither do I. But be sure to visit this page to get all the info about the project.
So I was talking to my "Velvet Code Twin" last night and she sent in something to Alternative Press Magazine. An awesome music magazine....This is what she sent in:
Up-and-coming artist Velvet Code has been tearing up NYC's night scene with electronic synth-pop techno hits. He's won Independent Music Award's Song of the Year, had two songs featured on "The Hills," and toured with Mindless Self Indulgence in March. Sponsored by Sketchers and opening for such bands as Dead by Sunrise and Nitzer Ebb, Velvet Code is the next big thing in the techno scene. Website: www.Facebook.com/VelvetCodeYea, awesome right? I think so, I mean AP has helped out plenty of awesome bands that I love....Family Force 5, AFI, Paramore..And we all know AFI has been on their cover more then once. Now let's get Marlon on the cover! Kasey and I are hoping that the little insert will be put in the next issue...If it's not I'll see if Marlon wants anything added to it and re submit it.
So I don't know if I'll be posting much for the rest of this week...But I might..I never know what will be going on in the mind of Marlon Wurmitzer....That I can post. What I do know is Marlon's been talking about some new songs...I have no clue what they are...but I do know that they'll be awesome...Why do I know this? Uhm hello it's Marlon. XDDD Boy has one hell of a voice.
I hope that everyone has a great Christmas this week and I hope everyone will have a crazy awesome New Year too. I know you will but hey...just in case. XD
Send in those projects to me!!!
Stay Lovely!

Short blog..Again.
Okay so while I take a break from playing with my new ATT VU I shall post the blog I promised on my facespace.
So here's the pictures taken by Kasey Thompson along with one video....The picture of her and Marlon totally makes me jealous. XDDD I joke!!! I love Kasey, and Marlon...They make me happy. Seriously these two are my favorite people.

Just a little thing.
Alright everyone. I had a few e-mails....or facespace messages rather asking about the poems that I wrote. Well I've decided that I'm only going to post two up here.
Just some disclaimer about the poems....Uhm they're kind of rough and shitty....SO please remember that I did these randomly while listening to Velvet Code....After a six month writers block. Yea it sucked. Also, because I know some people will say it, NO these aren't some crazy fangirl's love poems for the band she loves and is obsessed with. I LOVE Marlon's music and there's no denying that....but being an obsessor...it's kind of creepy thanks. This is just some reflection of my life....well to me.
Okay here ya go!
1:
The voice is at the end of the tunnel
Guiding me to the light of happiness
Giving me something to want.
The trust is what motivates me
To climb over the mountains
The mountains of feeling worthless.
All the conversations give me strength
The strength to defend myself
To hold myself upright and proud.
The wondrous compliments give me courage
Courage to go after my goals
To say "Yes I am worth all of it."
And yet I feel inadequate because all I can say is Thank You all so very much...
2.
I will love everyone before I am ever loved by anyone.
I will give forgiveness before I am ever forgiven.
I will defend others before anyone decides to defend me.
I will help another before I will contemplate helping myself.
And yet, I'm called selfish and conceded...

Friday Night
Here's some videos from Firday night, these two were sent to me from Eros Liveratos and a very BIG thank you out to him. From these videos it's very obvious that Velvet Code kicked so much ass!! I seriously don't think it's possible for them to disappoint.
"I'll Follow you"
"I can't" I love how Marlon's like "Who wants a CD?" He's amazing.....I want free merch!! hahahah
Now aren't these awesome? I'll be on the look out for any pictures with Marlon in them...And if I'm sent any videos from tonight's show then I'll be sure to post them up tomorrow!!!
Stay Lovely!

Inspiration in music...and some funny stuff.
Alright, this blog is more about how Velvet Code really helped me today...and some funny stuff as well. There's also some random things about what happens while some of the Music majors chill in Dr. Lee's office....AKA most the time when I'm talking to Marlon during the day. xD
So! It's been six very long months since I've written any poems or stories...Six VERY long months since I've been asked to help write a story about a character I originally made up in my head. Well today while listening to the song "I'll Follow You" the beginning of a poem just seemed to smack me in the head while I was checking e-mail and what not in Dr. Lee's office....Three more poems came from that. Most of them are about hope of love...and need to be revised...a LOT but that's nothing out of the norm. I've never had music bring me out of a block, only inspire me about something or another...I haven't done any creative writing in six months because I couldn't get out of this funk. Now it's gone! I seriously couldn't express to Marlon how much I REALLY loved him at that moment. Is the block completely gone? No, of course not, my brain doesn't work like that. It'll take a month before it's gone and I can retrieve things to write stories again, but small poems are the first step. I've ALWAYS been like that. Right now I can be inspired by just about anything, and it's all thanks to Velvet Code!!! Again Marlon, THANK YOU!!!
Now for some funny stuff. While we were laughing manically at Dr. Lee's decision to call his murse a "fag bag," my girl Sharrae asked me if I had gotten a reaction from Marlon about what she said the other day. Tuesday while waiting for a jazz concert and eating some amazing salads in the office, I was doing my usual "Let's see what has been posted for a possible blog today." She asked about Marlon's oh so familiar picture. The first thing she said was the usual, "He reminds me of Adam Lambert." I just laughed and shook my head saying NO. Upon closer inspection she came up with the best mixture ever! She said that he actually looks like the love child of Adam Lambert, Billy Joe Armstrong, and Gerard Way.....Needless to say I HAD to tell Marlon this as I was laughing...and choking on ginger...((IT BURNS SO GOOD!...don't ask)) I finally got a reaction today, and to both of our pleasures he found it just as funny as we did. The fit of "Fuck he's hot....Not seriously he's hot!!! OW DAMN....He's still hottttt!!!" and the falling continued to make me giggle like an idiot, since Dr. Lee was gone already he missed this, but left the office open for us. The students passing by thought I was high because I laughing so much.
More funniness from today was about my coat...This happened early this morning and I forgot to inform Marlon about it, but I'm sure he'll find it amusing. When Dr. Lee finally made it to school, I did the normal chat with him while he got ready to give someone a German lesson...I think it was a vocalist which makes sense..But when I took my jacket I asked for the lent roller, because the VC jacket leaves loverly fuzzies all over my white performance shirt. This is what happened, "Okay WHO IS this Velvet Code that keeps making you use up all my sheets on the roller when you wear performance clothing?" All I could do is tell him while smiling...The reaction was this because he forgot about hearing the music two weeks ago, "Well HELLO bring the CD in so I can hear it." So probably next Tuesday when I actually hang out in his office Velvet Code will be blasting from the Hickman building. Since Dr. Lee likes Tokio Hotel and Lady Gaga I think he'll like Velvet Code....Correction I know he will because last time he heard "say you love me" he liked it. Though Katie, Sharrae and I now know NOT to sing the chorus of "Slave Luv" infront of the Choral instructor...She kind of went off on us and it was funny as HELL....She had to apologize to me because I had to skip my favorite class to do this damn concert for her.
Anywho, just thought you'd all like that. ^_^
Stay Lovely!

Change in interview with Larry Flick.
Alright my little Velvet Code lovers...There's been a change. The interview that Larry Flick was suppose to have with Marlon has been rescheduled. Sometime within the next two weeks. Marlon informed me of this earlier today. It made me sad, like I'm sure it has all of you too, but it WILL still happen.
I do hope to have a report on the Friday show at least sometime either this weekend or next week. I'm suppose to get video footage from it but I dunno yet, simply because things are always subject to change. Remember this is the last shows for 2009 that Velvet Code will be playing...Before they pick back up in 2010...WHO KNOWS what the have planed.
V-squad members!!! Keep an eye on your e-mail since Marlon has said that the street team should be picking back up after this week.
NOTE: IF YOU TAKE PICTURES AT THESE SHOWS AND PUT THEM UP ON FACEBOOK AND HAVE NO PROBLEM WITH ME USING THEM (OR YOU CAN EMAIL ME) PLEASE LET ME KNOW. ALL PICTURES THAT I USE WILL BE CREDITED TO THE PERSON...unless I can't find a name.

This weekend...
Okay this weekend is going to be HUGE for Marlon and the boys! If you have tickets to either the NYC show or the Philly show, I envy you! I hope to be able to give a full update about the shows, but Marlon's a busy man and I haven't talked to him on the phone in awhile.
In other VC news! Two weeks ago before we were oogling at Mr. Lambert's embarrassing performance on the AMAs Marlon hosted a contest for the best Logo and best "Slave Luv" fan video! Here's the winning video and logo!(hahaha I'll lay off of Lambert...for now...MARLON WURMITZER FTW! that is all..)

Download available now, new Velvet Code site look, show this thursday.....Possible project?
NOW FOR THE IMPORTANT STUFF!!!
-So who's been to velvetcode.com lately? Seen the new site? It's awesome isn't it?! I like it, I was thrown off a little at first but I love it. As always the links are on the side. I'll be putting up a link to Marlon's blog too since it's no longer "Velvetcode.com"
Talking about Velvet Code's new website, if you go there you can get a free download of "Black. Blue. Blind." and let me tell ya....IT FRIGGIN ROCKS! No seriously it does! I've known most the songs for awhile, but I haven't owned the songs...Now I own it, and have been harassing people at school to listen to them (no not really, only my friends and class mates. :D XDD) Hey if they like Jeffree Star then they'll like Velvet Code. Anywho, go get it...like NOW! And dance around your house...Like I was this morning to "It's Over" my mother thinks I'm insane...I could only wonder why.
WHO'S IN NEW YORK OR NEW JERSEY? Ya'll better be going to the show Thursday night!! At The Knitting Factory 7pm all ages. Say "VELVET CODE ROCKS" at the door and you'll get a card to download exclusive music that hasn't been released! I'm totally jealous of you if you go...Just saying. If I had money to randomly jump on a plane Thursday after classes I'd totally be there....and be back Friday morning before I have to be at ensemble. That takes money...something a college kid DOESN'T have. Oh well.
Stay Lovely!

HEY!!! Don't forget to get all your friends to become a fan of Velvet Code. Remember that they're giving away "Black.Blue.Blind." on Facebook Saturday! I CAN'T WAIT! I also can't wait until I get my hoddie and CD. Oh yea, there'll be pictures of that. I have to help out with Halloween decorations at my house....so unless Marlon or one of the boys post something up on Facebook or twitter, there may not be many updates. I'll try to get some more stuff for all of ya'll soon!
Stay Lovely and have a kick ass Halloween!

Halloween download official, missions, new member of the blog.
OKay so A.) the boys are awesome B.) New missions C.) HALLOWEEN IS SO FUCKING CLOSE!
So here's what the deal is. On Halloween if you're a fan of Velvet Code's on facebook (look to the right....DO EEETTT) then you WILL for sure be getting a free download of Black. Blue. Blind and I think (I could be wrong I'll fix it later) some new material. This is so freaking awesome since I personally can't go to see them actually perform at all.....The next best thing I have is their CD. God I wanna go up to New York to see them.
Next, they put out some missions for the V-squad, so if you're not apart of it, JOIN!!!! Link is at the right of your screen...Or you can e-mail Marlon with your full name and city so that he can get ya signed up. I really think that all of ya'll should do the missions...They're not that hard....No seriously they're not. Help get the name of Velvet Code out! I've been working my butt off here in Mule Town USA, but people can be a bit stubborn about seeking out new things. Whatever....I'm not going to stop.
So guess what New York and New Jersey kids! VELVET CODE IS PLAYING AT THE KNITTING FACTORY ON NOVEMBER 5TH!!!! Here's a direct quote from velvetcode.com:
We're playing the Knitting Factory in Williamsburg, Brooklyn on Thursday November 5th! We'll be playing with BELL and Cale Parks!
Thursday, November 5th
Knitting Factory Brooklyn
361 Metropolitan Ave
Brooklyn , NY
11211
This is a more intimate setting so make sure you buy your tickets in advance to avoid disappointment! If you tell them you're there to see Velvet Code at the door, you'll get a FREE DOWNLOAD card with unreleased Velvet Code material.
http://www.ticketfly.com/tickets/event-details/?tfly_event_id=1533
They also say to make sure to be there because they're going to be debuting some new stuff. That'll be awesome, ya'll should totally get some videos of all this. I'll love you forever I promise. Seriously, I need to just randomly get a lot of money and be able to show up to the show...T_T Oh well, it happens with all the bands I love, I hardly get to see them. Meh.
IN OTHER BLOG NEWS! I'd like to welcome Summer to the blog! She's going to be helping me with both this blog and my "Life Is Forever Music" blog. Needless to say there's going to be a lot of updates on that blog about Cinema Bizarre, Space Cowboy, AFI, velvet Code....and god knows how much more. She'll also be able to update when I can't....Which is actually a lot as of late because of research papers, trying to follow along in Psychology and having to learn music.
To all of you out there that are wanting to be in the music industry remember to practice...I know this is kind of random but Marlon posted a blog about it awhile back and I had done a small recap on it. But seriously if you don't practice then you're going to suck, there's no if, ands, or buts about that. Just saying.
Stay Lovely!

Wurmitzer VS. Lambert
"Quick weekend wrap-up: my roommate, Leona and I went out on Friday night and had a blast. I hate it though, when I walk into a bar and people think I'm Adam Lambert. Sure it's nice to be noticed, but I am NOT Lambert. There isn't an inch of me that is like him, and believe me, I'm more than willing to go head-to-head to prove it :) No pun intended."
THAT MEANS YOU NEED TO LEARN THE FREAKING DIFFERENCE! Again, in general I have nothing against Lambert...Never will, he's talented and making money (I think) on what he does. WOOT FOR HIM! It's some of his fans that are really pissing me off, like beyond pissing me off....When my mother who's never seen a picture of them side by side walks by and says that they don't look a bit a like....That says something right there. Adam Lambert is himself and no one else. Marlon Wurmizter is himself and no one else. I am a HUGE Velvet Code fan....So naturally in my eyes, Marlon wins this. I'm just tired of the e-mails....And if they start going to any other account of mine, you can bet that there'll be some hell being raised.
All in all, my best wishes go out to Mr. Lambert and everything he does and stands for....But I'm going to continue to support Marlon, Nik, and Ryan with everything I can. Call me what you want, but I will make sure that those around me NEVER get the two confused...And again, in my eyes Marlon wins this one by far.
Stay Lovely!

V-squad mission update...
OKay so I'm sure plenty of you got the e-mail with all 5 missions that were sent out. Well this is one of them, writing a blog about Velvet Code....Real hard for me right? HAHA I think I've gotten just about all five done...Not sure who all has done one of them for me though.
Marlon (I'm pretty sure it was Marlon) put up on his Facebook and the band's facebook fan page that he was tweeking Velvet Code's cover of Lady Gaga's "Paparazzi" HELLO?! That's going to be awesome! It'll rival Chris Wallace's (The White Tie Affair) cover that's up on YouTube now...The video will be up on my music update blog. Seriously, I can't wait to hear it though! I obviously love Marlon's voice, and I've always loved decent covers of another artist's song. Seriously there's a list of covers that I love....Again more in my other blog.
ALSO, if you go to his blog -points to the right of the screen- you can get a free download of "More." Uhm HELLO?! FREE MUSIC! Not to mention if you're apart of the street team you probably got a really cool number to be able to call him tomorrow....I plan to but I have no clue if I'll even get through @_@.He also said in his blog that they're working on music and what not....FIVE new songs in the works right now. Wootness. I'm happy about it!
So they love Lady Gaga, and would love it if she would consider them for an opening act for her solo act...Uhm HELL YES SHE SHOULD! No seriously, she did this for Cinema Bizarre and it helped them out here in the US. Now granted they're lable mates with her, but still she also took The White Tie Affair with her and their fans also were exposed to CB. Now if this happened for Velvet Code I'd be estatic!!! I'd also try my best to get to a show. I wanted to go last round (before I knew CB) just to see TWTA, but couldn't make it to the one show in TN. I really do hope that she considers taking them!!! I mean it would be amazing wouldn't it? GA I'm about to go on a rant about how everything in the music business can connect in one way or another...ANYWAYS...
So A) ya'll should totally follow me on twitter...just saying (@BooBabyDoll)
B) Are you tweeting and following Velvet Code? (@velvetcode)
C) Are you trying to get more people to become fans on facebook?
Stay Lovely!

Interview with Marlon!
Alright! Here it is! An interview I originally did for my music update blog. Once again I'd like to thank him for doing this for me, and for helping me out with my blog! I'm happy to present this to ya and I hope you like it. Let me know what ya think about it! <3
What inspired you to decide to make music?
[Marlon:]Music has always been in my soul. I've been writing since I was a child, and even though it's taken a long time for me to come out with the first batch of Velvet Code songs, I really only wrote for myself for a long time. Now I want to share.
What's the writing process for Velvet Code? Is there any special methods that you normally do?(i.e: locking your self in a room for hours on end writing away.)
[Marlon:]Haha. That's a funny question. You would think that people have a process, but every time I sit down and "plan" to write something, it sucks. Most of the time, I'll be walking down the street and I'll hear something...a couple fighting, someone hating, some loud obnoxious siren, and I get a melody. I usually grab my iPhone and start recording something. That's how it starts. And then, usually its a smart cocktail that takes it to the next stage! haha.
How long have you been a band?
[Marlon:]Velvet Code's been together for 2 and a half years now.
What is one of the biggest challenges for the band right now?
[Marlon:]Well, it seems like it's like pulling teeth to get someone to back us financially. I've basically built this on my own so far, and I won't stop, but it gets really challenging. I come from a family that had to fight for everything, including to get food on the table, so it hasn't been easy.
What genre is Velvet Code?
[Marlon:]You tell me. :)
Where can people find your music and sample it? Is this also the most popular way to find out about the band?
[Marlon:]Facebook, Facebook, FACEBOOK!! We love Facebook and we wanna build up our team there: www.facebook.com/velvetcode
What are your musical and non-musical influences?
[Marlon:]Musical influences? I love pop music like Pink, Lady GaGa, Britney Spears and Madonna. I also like Electro like But at the same time, I love Muse, Depeche Mode, The Killers, Prince and Queen. So I guess you can say that we cross many genres for our influence.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now for a few personal questions.
What hobbies do you tend to do when you're not entertaining people with your music?
[Marlon:]I love to play volleyball and exercise. It's so tough out there...I feel like I have to stay active to keep my head from exploding.
What's your biggest pet peeves?
[Marlon:]People that talk the talk but can't walk the walk. Like come on...don't say you can do something when you really can't. You know, like those American Idol people that think they can sing, but they really can't???
What's your personal view on downloading music?
[Marlon:]I think it's great! In fact, we're going to offer Velvet Code's Debut album for free on October 31st to all Facebook Fans! So I'm gonna shamelessly say, BECOME A FAN!!!
And to wrap this up, do you have any last words to tell the fans?
[Marlon:]Please become a fan and talk to us. We stay connected to our fans. To all those who join our Street Team, you'll get your name in a song and you'll get the Official Velvet Code Band Phone Number!! What band does that??
Love you all!
Well there it is! What did ya think? Just a reminder, this was ALL done via e-mail.
Stay Lovely!

Wednesday Update
Not much today besides the blog, but I'll get to that in a minute.
NOW TO TODAY'S BLOG! It was some advice for those who are trying to make it big in the music business, and I saw things that I've been told time and time again, and I'm in a different part of the music industry.
Here's the main points:
Write everyday- it doesn't matter what you write just do it!
Practice!- Okay I'm going to go in a little on this in my own experience. I'm a music education major, meaning I'm going to school to teach people how to play....My concentration instrument is Flute (NO JOKES!) Well I have to literally practice everyday just so that I can continue to excel in what I do. For those of you who are like "Oh I don't need to practice" YES YOU DO! It's extremely important to practice to reach your full potential. If you don't practice, you're not going to go anywhere and you're going to suck, that's the honest truth. Seriously follow the oh so famous quote, "practice makes perfect."
Don't Give Up- I also want to go into this a little bit. It's not easy I promise, even just being a music major it's hard. I'm competing everyday to keep myself at a decent level since there's no private lessons for winds at the tiny Community College I'm at this year. Giving up seems like it's the easy way out when you're being put down by practically everyone, and believe me you will be put down and discouraged by someone. But if you give up then why the hell did you start it? The way I look at it is if you're life doesn't revolve around what you really want to do then why are you doing it? This goes for any goal you have out there. I have a lot, and I've already started out to accomplish two online and that's my two blogs.
Anyways, although there's been NO TWEETS T_T I'll be posting up the interview I had with Marlon over e-mail tomorrow morning before I run off to another day of classes.
Stay Lovely!

Velvet Code in NYC with Lady GaGa?
I bet you don't always check Velvet Code's facebook do you? WELL WHY NOT?! Oh well, that's what I'm here for! Remember that everyday after I'm home from crazy college classes I will give you all an update big or small that I've read on Velvet Code's facebook, blog, or that they've sent me.
So the first thing posted was a video cover by a group called Pomplamoose. They did a cover of Beyonce's "Single Ladies(Put A Ring On It)" I personally don't like the song, but the cover is actually quite nice. I suggest you hop on over to velvetcode.com and watch the video..
NEXT!![EDIT: I'm an idiot and said that they were going to be onstage with Lady GaGa...Marlon thankfully corrected me. This is the revised and corrected version.] I'm so happy for the guys for this! Check out the poster for it!
"Lady GaGa is hosting a New York City dance-a-thon rally on October 3 for the National Equality March. The march takes place October 11th in Washington DC as part of the battle to achieve full equal rights in all 50 states in all matters of civil law for the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender communities.Seriously, I wanna see pictures from this. Please note that neither Lady GaGa nor Velvet Code will be performing. That was totally my fault, you can kill me later xD
Tickets for Josh Woods Presents Bootleg are $15 online, or $25 at the door, a portion of which will be donated to Equality Across America, the organization putting the march together."
STREET TEAMERS CHECK THIS OUT!
"All street teamers...I'll be emailing the Velvet Code band phone number to you this Saturday! Only for those on the Street Team..."
That's from twitter! So if I were you I'd join the V-squad!!! And send Marlon an e-mail with your name and city in it!! What band does this?!
Remember if you want to see the interview I had via e-mail with Marlon then I want to see a lot of @velvetcode tweets for it!! C'mon it'll be fun! I do check to see how many people are tweeting.
Also tweet about the blog and get more fans to follow, comment, and tweet along with you!

An introduction and some updates.
Well here we are! The first post on the Velvet Code V-squad fan blog. WOOT! Okay, so I'm going to start with a slue of updates.
- Nik Fiore is now back in Velvet Code
- If you're one of the first 500 members of the V-squad (link on the right side of your screen) then you can get your name in a Velvet Code song that's being done on October 15th!
- On Facebook Marlon talked about working on some new songs, "This Is Not Pretend," "Come Clean," "F*ck U With My Music," I Don't Wanna Play With Your Toys," "You'll Never Play Me," "The Painter," and "Sugar Daddy."
- If you are on the Velvet Code e-mail list then you probably got a remix of "Say You Love Me" in your e-mail.
- Apparently Velvet Code has a phone number for fans to call if they want...As long as you don't abuse it that is. (I haven't seen the number just yet xD)
- Reported on Facebook about recording with a new guitar player
- Velvet Code is moving to LA, California
- V-squad missions have been sent out (again in the bar on the right side of your screen!)
- If we get 5,000 fans on the Velvet Code facebook( also on the right side of the screen) then we all get the Black, Blue, and Blind album!
- Randomness, advice, and lyrics on the official Velvet Code blog (Yep...on the right side of the screen.)
That's all I found for now, I'll keep things updated to. Feel free to leave a comment and report anything if I've missed it, or I'm in classes and can't exactly post anything.
